Hi everyone,
Here we go, a little update on my condition.
As some of you might have already know, I left Beijing about 2.5 months ago
and recuperating at home.
I spent the first 2 months at home just chillin in bed and eat all the food I can
get ! When I left Beijing I looked like a POW just out of WW2 german concentration camp...
I've gained some weight back but still seriously underweight especially for my new height.
My legs are recuperating just fine, the left one is a lot weaker than the right one though.
I can walk around the house and do stuff for myself like heating my own food in the microwave
for example...I've been pretty lazy and had my familly member serving me in bed

for the past
2 months.
But I've been a lot more active for the last couple weeks, I'm able to drive my car around get some fast food, go to DMV ect ...Although I was able to drive my mom's automatic car about 1 month
after getting back from Beijing, my car though is bit more complicate since it's a sporty german car with a manual shift and a super sensitive clutch ! Now I truly feel back to business .
I can now also truly appreciate the genius of the guys who invented the fast food and bank ATM drive through

Walking is still a pain in the butt without crutches, I can do it pretty well if I concentrate and walk slowly, I do feel pain sometimes in my knees and along the rod inside my tibia while walking...And I
do get major pain if I sit down for a while then get back up and try to walk again ...Sometimes I just can't and just have to give up because of the sharp pain in the tibia.
Getting back to normal walking is a bit longer than I anticipated, but I do take it pretty easy though
I don't push myself too much, I just want to give my body the time it needs to recover. I work from home on my computer so I don't have much of a time constraints, but it's important to keep a daily work out routine though ! It's easy to get lazy and chill when you're at home with all the comfort

I also did 9+ cm so it's gonna take a bit longer to heal up.
Mentally, I'm very happy with how my pants fit and my overall body frame, I just feel bigger in general although I weight a lot less than I used to...The most important and satisfying part is I don't have a height complex anymore it's like a big mental problem that has been cured. I don't care about my or other people height anymore.
My family reaction has mostly been "no comment", I think they're mostly concerned about my well being and think that I'm very crazy to put my body through all that for a few inches.
Friends are a lot more receptive and curious about LL, some of my friends are pretty short so some might end up in Beijing sooner or later...
How about the women? I have no idea ! LOL . They have not been one of my reasons or concerns to do LL so I don't have any empirical data to enter the debate, but I'm sure you'll find other LL patients on the board who can tell you about their positive response from women after having LL.
For all of you still in Beijing, take care and hang tight ! You'll be going home soon enough.
It sounds crazy but I do miss the hospital sometimes ( minus the frame and the food )

Best of luck everyone !
