OK so I have had some x-ray's today of my legs (tibia), do you think they look bowed?

note I had both frontal and lateral aspects taken (the radiologist insisted, as part of doing  professional job)

why why not, if you do by how much?

If they are bowed also do you think any height would be gained.

I think the are bowed, because,

From the front look bowed to me frontal linear ridge of the tibia the part that runs near the surface of the skin, appears to be nowhere in line with the middle of the knee.

Many people have noted I have a very recognizable (different) gait, to the point one person reconsied me after 15 years because of the way i walked.

I need to have correcting arch orthotics in my shoe or I get painful feet (plantar facitis (sp?)), I know this is a collapse or flattened arch but this may be a product of the bowing.

My shoes use to wear very strangely, almostNOT ALLOWED  45 degrees on the outside of heel before I got the orthotic inserts.

[2] Part 2 , is my bow also in the lateral (side plane).  My legs log quite many degrees backwards of any thing close to straight.  The radiologist made a comment when i left them unlocked and looking straight that she thought she had taken the film wrong, given the joint position.  I explained to her my locking position and showed her, she said that looks unusual.

I will go and see an orthopod as well but I am interested in your views.

Thanks in advance LL's [note not familiar with image insert function, so you may have to use the links]
