hi Thank you Sysop for your kind words Littleangel hi Back to school...Iam going to school yes with my frames and iam so happy to be back ,I've missed my friends and my teachers and the tricks we do to them(i mean the tricks we do to our teachers ).But i have to be serious next year is my final year in secondry and then it's university I am invited to a wedding ,so exciting...Mom bought me high heel shoes as i insisted ,iam dreaming of them but she says that we have to ask the Dr first (before wearing them to the wedding).Does anyone know if it's ok or not to wear high heels while having frames?? I've tried them and i could walk easily I hope the Dr would say that it is Ok (cross fingers) I can walk without crutches now (like a duck ) but still using them Iam affraid of falling. LOVE you all bye bye I am happy to see you so excited Sam. I hope Dr. Would allow you for heel but be very very careful. Keep it up Champ God bless you Crazy+6

hello everybody. @Legs7 and Kevin90,thanks a lot for your good wishes. Everything is going fine .My bone consolidation is great and the Dr said that after one month ,if everything is still going fine then he is going to start pulling out some screws ,so that the new formed bones will gradually bear my body weight .Cross fingers. But you know what i am really scared !!!! Wish me luck. Salam

Hi Sam,
Firstly I'd like to say your diary was one of the first I read on the MMT board when I become aware of this forum. Also you are the youngest that also makes you the strongest, mashallah. Reading about your surgery and the progress you made has really made me happy for you. The before/after photos are a major difference to your tibias and you have achieved what you desired. I also have a goal to increase my the length of my tibias for reasons and I'm looking forward to do LL as it is my only hope to reach my goal. You have inspired me and alot of other people on this forum. I actually started working alot of hours everyday to make money when I found this forum and read diaries, your was the main one. I'd like to say thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and making the process so clear to us. I hope soon I will be going to Dr Salameh for LL with a friend I also met on this forum who has become a good friend.
You have a lovely personality making you a complete true beautiful girl. I wish I could meet you one day aswell. May god give you the best life and shower you with blessings.
Salam, ZakM3

Un-fucking-real!
16 CM!???!
Did I see that correct?
I've not read this diary hardly at all. Would someone please give me a quick summary of this incredible story? I don't ahve time for a week or tow to trawl through it but I will in time.
Were there any complications, etc?
Huge, huge props to Sam though for what must be setting about 5 records in one!
Would love an update too.
Bravo and good luck for the future!

Hi everybody So sorry for being away for such a long time Things in Syria are so bad ,all this killing although here in Damascus it is a little bit better than Homs or Aleppo ,still.. It has been exactly 2 years and 6 days since I began my LL journey and it's not over yet I still need another op in my tibias (the lower part near my Achilles) because there is still some slight bowing .With all the bombing all around ,and there is no safety ,well it's very hard to decide when i should do the op.But it's very necessary to do it.I am scared. If ever i need to run or hide ,because the situation over here is bad and that doesn't seem to get to an end ,a happy one.Syria is all destroyed Well to tell you a bit about how my legs are doing now, they are doing just fine i can walk very well( i still have my frames on ) and i am living my life almost normally ,I can sleep on my belly ,ride a bike ,walk fast ,...no running ...almost normal. I am well adjusted . We talked to the Dr to decide the op date ,I think it's going to be on Sunday ,it's not sure, because the Dr is now in Tartous( a city almost 3ookm far from Damascus ,where Iam,) roads aren't safe ,and the hospital where he does his operations isn't safe at all..So maybe will do it in another one ,we shall see. I will post latter on some photos of my new legs . Wish me luck Sam

Hey Sam It's great to hear you are doing so well. It seems like just yesterday that you started your journey and here we are today. You have completed your lengthening goals and are close to being 100% I'll tell you I absolutely loved Syria when I was there, especially the Syrian people who I met who were so friendly to me. It saddens me to see all the troubles there and also that I can't see myself visiting again anytime soon to see the friends I made when I was there. Please stay strong Sam, and all the very best for the future. Also please pass on my best wishes to Dr Salameh. tramp

@ nicebutwise thank you very much for your kind words @goodfootballer I am still carrying my devices because i did 16 cm so i needed more time to make sure my consolidation was good enough, but i should have made the operation sooner in June but it wasn't possible for many reasons one of them is the bad situation .And my ballerina is almost gone, thank you, and it doesn't bother me at all,I can walk almost normally .before doing my op my legs were bowed ,now there is still a little bowing at the end of my tibias and that needs another surgery. The Dr said that we can make some more lengthening maybe 3cm because he is going to break the bone so why not lengthening ,my new legs are very well consolidated ,as soon as i can i'll post some photos and X-rays. @Dookleman thank you very much for praying for us , we surely need it .I don't know when this massacres will end @Tramp my good fellow ,yes indeed it looks as if it was yesterday since i started my LL journey .I don't know when it will end ,I am really scared .I don't know if it's going to be possible for me to do the op soon .The Dr said yesterday he can't come to Damascus and make it,and that I should go to Tartous wich is very dangerous .So i don't know what I should do ,mom and dad are studying the POUR and Contre . We shall be in touch with him on Saturday to decid what to do.And there is another problem : I am having my bac this year and i need to attend to school and if I do the op I will have to be absent for at least a month and by doing so I'll miss lot of lessons . So I don't know!!!!! Be sure 'll pass your wishes to Dr Salameh Pray for me ,love you all Sam

Sam, Dr. Salameh is an excellent doctor and you have come very far with him, but the situation in Syria is just too dangerous now. You need to get out of Syria and either go home or go to another doctor who can help you in a different country. Can Dr. Salameh accommodate you in Frankfurt? There are other doctors who can help you if he cannot. You need to think about your safety first, and you cannot be safe in Syria right now.

sam,
sysop is right. The situation in Syria is only going to worsen. You need to get out of there fast. Also you have a medical condition, why are you paying from your own pocket? I thought this was covered by health insurance or something like that. You could do lengthening in US or Frankfurt.

Sam,I am glad you're ok,I hope you will post x-rays pictures,16 cm is sooo great for you,and if you do another extra 3 cm,great! How do you cope with your frames for such a long time>?And did you had any pin cuts? I am thinking more and more of the posibility to do externals, with no internal nail, yes,it's more uncomfortable, but I know that the bone regenerates faster with no internal nail. Take care you girl!
