Thanks My journey wasn't easy;even before my op people give you hard time with their way of looking at you 'oyu can't reach anything not the sink nor the elevator buttons nor .....But my essential reason for making the op was because the bowing in my legs would affect my knees and then my bag.Not that iam not happy with my new look and new height I was always confident in my sellf and not worrying about people .I can say that my personality is a strong one.Mom was always there for me and pushed me forward and tought me ignoring what i didin't like in my surrounding.I never complain. Getting longer is so nice though and iam happy that mom took the decision of making me the op because not everybody encouraged the idea in the contrary some of them "put sticks in wheels".bUT to be fair this kind of op isn't realy popular and very obscur.

sam, im glad to hear you are okay. The situation in Syria is no joke, I was strongly considering going there for LL but given the civil unrest, I have now started exploring other options. I dont know if there will be any improvements either, as the violent crackdown by Assad seems to be escalating. However, I read in another post that if it does get to the point where patient safety is a serious issue, Dr. Salameh will arrange for transfer to Turkey. So I would just focus on your recovery rather than stressing about things that are beyond your control. You have lots of people rooting for you and I wish you nothing but the best :)

Be safe, Sam - Damascus is the safest place to be in Syria right now, so hopefully you will get your LL done and get out safely.
Good luck!

Hi Sam, That's a lot of lengthening - but I have seen people with your condition doing as much as 20cm with no problems, so keep motoring!

Wow, Sam! 13 cm so far, and based on your miminal pain and modest rate of distraction, there should be even more to come. Based on what I'm reading, you should be fine in Damascus for the duration. You're doing great.
Stay strong,
Houdini

Thank you very much guys ::)Iam doing my best. Houdini the reflection you did speaks for me too.Because where ever i go i try to measure myself to it :i see a huge difference from before the op now i can reach the sink very easily which i couldn't do before without standing on a small chair .The elevator's buttons are now lower .I can see things on shelfs i used to consider very high before.Imeasure myself to my friends my heigh is no longer of a very very short one .Iam short but my proportions looks better and my legs are no more ugly .Shoes look better on my feet and i like looking at them and people won't look at me in that despitfull way any more . 8)And when i will fully recover i will be able to wear high heels ::)My dream

Thanks teewoods .For the momentt Iam focusing on my tibias and it's hard enough. So for now my response is NO iam not thinking of doing any LL .But Mom says in a year or two i will change my mind .But before my femur it is going to be my humerus so that i won't have any disproportion. And most important my legs will need time to recapitulate. And i have my studies to think about the next 2 years are very important because i need to study real hard because Iam intending to go to the university of pharmacy ...So...
