I am a current patient in Beijing. Your Beijing schedule is pretty similar to mine...a regular sleep schedule...a disclepline daily routine....it would have been great if I had found out about this op sooner and did ll at the same time as you. Btw, is that pic really you? The pic on top left corner of the mirror in your room...luffy pointed this out pages back in your diary.

Regarding the bone infection and broken screw....I am guessing it was the top screw and not the bottom screw on your right leg? When did you realize that it was broken? What would you say caused it? If you had discovered the broken screw sooner, could the infection be prevented or is the infection totally independent from the broken screw?

I like. This situation terrifies me for financial reasons.  Treatment and correction of this problem in a  USA hospital would lead to financial ruin and bankruptcy. You might want to do a search for a teaching hospital in your area at home where surgery is normally cheaper but performed by a resident or fellow under the supervision of a full doctor. You could see if u can arrange and agreement on a set price should this scenario occur. Or just stay 2 months longer in china.

Hi Tarnor, thank you for the awsome diary.   Did you try going back to Beijing to get treatment during the complication?  I remember reading about the hospital in Beijing will resolve all complication arising from the surgery, so did you return to them?
