Yes. He is a member of the forum, and most of you have read his diary. I am going to ask him if I can include a link to the article and the photos of him standing in his diary. I think they would make a great bookend to his story.

After reading the comments on that site, it gives people more reasons why they should never tell anyone about their surgery. People simply don't get it. Who knows maybe one day it'll be an accepted procedure, like getting braces. I ended up got braces even though I could have easily lived my life with horrible teeth arrangements, but nobody judged me for improving my appearance. Why cant you do the same with improving your appearance by gaining a few inches? Weird people out there.

You can ask Thomas himself in his diary if he got som $$ for the article. I would never come out with this sort of thing. Most of the comments are from people thinking that he his a complete fool. I know that they don't understand but we all know that we will get ridiculed saying that we went through LL.

I'm sorry to say it but the commenters on Daily seem more sane than us - Who's with me? Their overall opinion seem to be: 1 It is not worth the money. 2 Not worth the time, pain and risk. 3 The change is not substantial enough. 4 It can make you look disproportional. 5 The whole mentality/focus (man or woman) is wrong. 1 Whether its worth the money is subjective (and prices vary). 2 I too am worried about the risks. 3 the change is not huge but 7,5cm is clearly noticeable. 4 It will only make some people look disproportional. 5 I agree some of us may be obsessing, but they are also underestimating. I'm still worried about how our bodies will react to this long-term in 10 or 20 years. -- Right now it is a huge thing to go through, but remember new inventions are being made all the time, and there is a lot of money to be made in this field so it's an attractive business to do inventions for. We just got the PRECISE where you do not have to click and bend your broken legs. Who knows where we are in 5 or 10 years.

That's why i wont said anything about LL to anyone. It's not because i want to hide it or because i'm ashamed about it, it's just because some people will think that you're mad. And they are not going to try to understand anything new for their brains. These comments are a good example to prove it.

Yup comments are ridiculous. Least we all know where we stand once we have it done. No doubt the guy got a few £k for the article, and props to him for coming out like that, I don't think I will tell anyone. I'll just go "travelling" and come back with a tan and a radically different hair style. Make up some rubbish about pulling a tendon or some cra*. So people will notice I'm different, but other factors + not seeing me for the best part of a year = hopefully not clocking on.

i googled his name and it seems that he is a top realtor in canada. i doubt he needed a few thousand euro, so i'm kinda curious as to why he would give a story like that with his full name

how the hell cam people be so stupid and narrow minded, like how the f#k can they not even close to understand anything about this. Should've just visited a shrink. Would've been cheaper and less painful. It's not impossible to get a woman when you're an average or even a short man. For example I'm 5'5'' and I have always preferred guys who are only slightly taller than me. Nevertheless, I would never be so shallow that I reject a man based on his height. My boyfriend is 6'4'' and although it can get complicated sometimes (e.g it's nearly impossible to walk arm-in-arm as the walking rhythm is so different) it's all just a minor detail as there are so many things that are more important! Ok, I understand why tall model types don't want short men but if you're a man who only wants to date models then it's a new level of shallow. All in all, if you're a decent guy inside, you should have no problems finding oneself a woman.
this stupid bitc* is dating a 6"4 man and admits to prefering taller gys yet is taking the oppisite side of the story like wat the fuk is wrong with her!!! i dont plan on telling people either that i got ll, they just parrot what scosiety tells them to think, news flash when you have 2 options to date and 1 is the prefered type you will always choose your prefered option. aka she is admitting that she would deliberatly not date a shorter gy if the more prefered option of a taller gy is availiable, and yet she is saying that this gy who had the surgery needs a shrink. no he needs stupid bitches who discriminate against hieght to stop being pregidice. or he needs to change himself so as to not get discriminated against and accept that people will just continue to discriminate and not change. and walla he did this and now the discrimination has stoped for him. i just cant understand how she can on sentence 1 admit to that shorter gys are not good enough based on heigh and then say that we are the ones who need shrinks. the thing that irritates me is that so many people act like this and it they are deluding themselves they dont want to admit even to themself that they are discriminating against short people so they take the stance of we have the problem and need the shrink. it is anoying and it frustrates me and i will stop now b4 i keep rambling with what everyone here already knows.

Femurs7cm is not Thomas' username on MMT. If you read the article, it says that Thomas did around 10 cm.

Haha! They are priceless are they not?! I should point out the Daily Mail is an absolute JOKE of a paper. The comment you highlighted isn't the only one. Take a look at this corker... "Actually, I love shorter men and at 5'4" would love a partner of 5'7" - my partner of 12 years is 6'2" LOL! - Driving Miss Lazy, UK, 1/1/2012 22:50" I mean really. Also notice ANY comment that sympathises with the guy is instantly thumbed down about 30 times?

The guy got what he wanted in the end and married a 5'8 woman, so if he is happy that is great.
Women can be really "shallow" but so can most guys. I mean how many guys here want a woman who is overweight? Not many. Women can be "harsh" in their preference for a taller man but guys are also very picky about the woman's shape, weight, face, ect... In fact, men probably judge women physically on a far stricter scale than women judge men. Personally, I will not date a woman over 60kg, or 130lbs. Does that make me shallow? It is just preference. There are lots of women under this weight who appeal to me more than women 60kg or more. I also like women between 160-170cm. If I met a great woman who was 155cm and another that was 165cm, I would most likely choose the 165cm woman.

Something seems to be off. Why would this "successful Realtor" need to publicize his LL and thus his identity? I wonder how much the daily mail paid him to do so? Anyways, I watched some of his youtube videos and he's been on TV and of course looks matter when you're in the public eye.
Personally, I'm gonna take LL to the grave. But I can understand Thomas wanting to be taller than 5'7". I'm about 5'6" and I feel people take me a lot less seriously. But honestly this is something I want to do for myself, and it looks like Thomas did this surgery for himself and got what he wanted out of it. Good for him.

They are not misguided. You can ridicule them all you want but if we saw the real horror stories of LL your post wont be so pompous.

lol you are right craig i wouldnt date a fat chick lol but at least i will admit it i guess at the end of the day the same as girls need taller gys alot of gys dont like fat chix lol so the question is would a girl spend 10-20k to be skinny and toned for the rest of her life, and the answer is yes if she had the money lol. but the double standard will always be there.

I completely agree with you, GrowTallorDieTrying. As for me, I would rather pay X amount money to have slender beautiful legs than spend the rest of my life with bendy short tibias despite all the pain I'll have to endure to achieve it.
