I've never had any health problems with my legs but because I started to wear high-heeled shoes very early and wore them every single day, I suffer from foot problems now. I'm a little bit worrying if my feet problems will be more worse after the procedure. What is your opinion about that? How is your own experience with feet?

I've always had flat feet and they hurt when I would stand for long periods of time. That problem was exacerbated when I started wearing lifts and elevator shoes because like women's heels, they put the foot in an awkward position. I don't think LL would make things worse because after one is healed the foot (bf etc), the foot goes back to normal.

I welcome the LL vets to chime in on this. Smiley

For achy tired feet I think it would be a good idea to stop heels or lifts usage for at a few months prior to the surgery.

I've been off of lifts and elevator shoes for over a year now. My flat feet still hurt but I think the rest has done it some good.

I think you should stop wearing heals for a while and see how it goes.
If no improvement is noticed then ask your height doctor and tell him your situation BEFORE doing the procedure.
I used to wear high heals and they left me hurting so bad.
But i stopped using them and immediately the pain was gone

Is Leg Lengthening a big burden for the feet? Not in my experience. I did LL in China more than 2 years ago and I have never ever had issues with my feet.

Gregory- On a different subject, it would be great if you could share with the newbies how you're doing 2 years post-op.

Hey Dookieman,

I am doing quite well. I can do pretty much everything except that I don't ever run or jump to avoid breaking my nails. Knowing that members who write diaries usually abandon them after their second surgery only to leave everyone wondering what happens afterwards in more detail, I am hoping to write a one page summary of what people who go to Beijing should expect in terms of times, prep and post LL exercises, and other tips to ensure a faster recovery.

That would be beyond helpful as most seem to drop into oblivion after they go home.
