I feel like i was pissed off at everything when i was in pain, but when i wasnt it was all good.   You need a sense of humor to get through this.   I had planned on going for 7. 5 but once i measured myself standing over 5'11 i decided it was time to stop.   I am totally satisfied w/ that height and i was able to stop while my legs still felt good which im hoping will lead to a quicker recovery than most.

I know what you mean - it's so easy to get annoyed at stuff while you're in pain. Also, I've found that simply being disabled can make one irritable.

Good call stopping at 5'11"; I think that's a really good height. I'm still working on straightening so I have no standing/walking tips for you, but good luck and quick recovery!

Id like to make a point that keeping up w/ physical therapy is key throughout this entire procedure.  The physical therapist i had, Manzoor Magray, did a great job with me.  He dedicated a lot of time each day helping me prevent ballerina foot and to regain muscle strength in my legs.  By the time i was ready to take my frames off i feel like my legs were in good shape.  I had once again developed my hamstring, quadricep, and even some calf muscle while i had frames on.  I have a good feeling this will really help in my recovery.

So this PT "Magray" is the one working with the patients daily at the guesthouse right?
