Dookieman - Thanks buddy.. just lying down on the hospital bed waiting for my pizza to arrive (yes i know.. not healthy & not my style but the food at the hospital was blahh & I don't wanna eat blah the night before my surgery so pizza it is lol) Soapey - Thank you. There is a good chance I may do that after I can feel settled in out here but in meantime, since Dryani was kind enough to tell me to share my experience on here, I'll do my best to help as much as possible & contribute as much as i can to this community To all[/u] - Met the warriors today.. Awesome group of guys & girl, a 'class act of warriors' is best way i can describe them & yes, we're all still jealous of crazy's impressive gains lol.. Also, had my consult with Sarin & both me & my mom felt very comfortable. He does seem like a very kind & knowledgeable doc. It's 10:30pm in India now & I must eat pizza soon & get ready for bed since my surgery is set for 9am! Fingers crossed & praying for a successful surgery tomorrow morning.. Thanks again to all of you for your best wishes & support All the best ST, get your own diary up asap you lazy bastard!

Mdragon - Thanks a bunch! OneSevenOne - Lol if i was a lazy bastard, i wouldn't be posting at all now would i I'll make this a quick post because im in LOTSA pain right now I must have some shitty ass luck b/c while my right leg feels fine, my left foot & leg has SHARP ongoing pains coming from every angle! I've been up for 27 hours now & counting & I don't know what the fuc* is going on w/ my left leg but the painkillers thus far have not helped much.. There's another Doctor here who works w/ Sarin (cant remember his name) but he's gettin me a much stronger pain medicine along w/ a sleep aid that 'should' hopefully knock me out! My mom took a peak at my frames before they bandaged it all up but she said they are black.. which means I got the newer light weight frames & I DO NOT HAVE THE ANKLE LOCK.. I'm a bit suprised about this since my goal is 7.5cm like Dryani but I 'think' it has something to do w/ my flexibility levels.. I'll ask Sarin about it in a few days & update you guys on why I don't have the ankle lock. Also.. another patient arrived last night from the US. Sunny brought him by my room last night to meet me & he had questions for me since I had my surgery a day before him. He seems like a really nice guy & I'm pretty sure seeing my left leg covered in blood wasn't the sight he had in mind the night before his surgery Nonetheless.. I'm fighting hard & I pray that relief will come tonight b/c i feel like an ACHING ZOMBIE

Arche - Thanks for the support man! It's more like a family out here & since Dryani was kind enough to allow me & Kaizen to contribute on here w/ our experiences, it seems like its easier to do it on here (so the members on this forum don't have to click on 3 different diaries to get a good idea of the LON experience w/ Dr. Sarin) Again, if at any point.. Dryani (the boss man) changes his mind about me & Kaizen posting our experience on here, we will respectfully follow suit. Picture of frame will be posted once i ever get out of this god-forsaken hospital lol.. because theres no wifi at the hospital & after laying in the same position w/ a bastard leg that isn't cooperating.. TRUST ME, im as anxious to see these frames as you are dude! egghead - Thanks a bunch, well finally at around 1am last night.. the nurse gave me a KO painkiller, I think it was an oxycodon & although, it knocked the pain out.. took me awhile to catch some zzzz's.. I know I went over 30hrs w/o sleep & i cant even describe the random & weird thoughts that were going through my head Mdragon - Ohhhh yeah! Once we enter the lion's den, we either go for blood or get bloody ourselves and as I said before.. I experienced both already lol.. really hope newton's law goes into effect soon & yea the massages have been really nice. Their cute little fingers feel great on my battered & almost purple-colored feet & toes haha Kaizen - Love the warrior mentality, but remind me never to call you for positive encouragement lmao 6ft - Thanks buddy, you've always been supportive of us To All - As i promised before, im not a sugar-coating kinda guy & im not scared to tell you all the details & emotions involved with this.. The Surgery & Hospital The hospital staff has been nothing less than superb with their caringness & timeliness. I hit this little button in my bed whenever I need something & they're here within SECONDS.. I doubt that would happen in the US. One small negative is that i've only seen Sarin's smiling face twice since arriving at the hospital (but both times he's made me feel very comfortable & happy) Dr Sarin, Dr Suneel & I believe 2 other doctors all performed my surgery together.. It took longer than usual for me & I was told that the reason why is because my bones were very narrow.. which makes it harder to break. A few minor negatives at the hospital is that it takes a while to see the doctor (they're very busy w/ lots of patients), there were at least 7 or 8 minor power outages last night, which got pretty annoying after the 5th time (only lasts a few seconds & then power's restored, but it sucks for trying to rest due to loud beeping noises that go off everytime power's lost) & it's a vegetarian hospital so if you're a chicken or meat lover like myself, it sucks haha. So I've been eating nothing but fruit, fruit juices, salads, veggie sandwich etc. In other words, ONLY HEALTHY FOOD but last night, in honor of my pal Dryani.. i gave into the temptation & ordered 1 of those tasty ice cream sundaes Guest House Warriors - My mom & I brought all of you awesome protein bars from the US so get ready to eat healthy. I know you guys love your pizzas, ice cream & fast food, but my goal will be to get you guys on the healthy food bandwagon lol.. I'm gonna ask my mom to make this mixed fruit & veggie shake that I make back in NY (most mornings before I start my day) that'll literally have your cheeks tingling from the amazing taste & feeling you get afterwards

Dryani - I want to thank you again for the tips you gave me yesterday. I FINALLY got a bit of sleep last night, thank god! And the nurse forgot to give me the painkiller so all i had was a sleeping pill.. which really sucked because i woke up every 15 minutes w/ sharp stinging pains in my legs & unable to move The nurses here are pretty attentive but im not that pleased w/ the quality of the work. For instance, when they do the sponge bath.. they dont even use soap & only do your chest & part of your back.. its a slack ass job in my opinion.. i obviously have many other body parts that need cleaning & soap is pretty necessary in my opinion.. and not many of them speak english so its frustrating at times to communicate, espec when the pain is VERY high.. I'm just pretty anxious to get out of here man. Also.. I'm really happy your over 5cms bud. You definitely earned every bit of it & when I see you (hopefully, in a few days.. i'll definitely lift your spirits up on the emotional pains because im goin through it myself & can relate to you on that) And I wana mention that although ive had some pretty demoralzing feelings/moments since this journey began, it feels good to know that there are others going through what we're going through Dryani & together.. we can fight through anything & I think when its all said & done, we'll be much stronger, kinder & even more appreciative of all the simple things that life has to offer. Remember.. I'm always here for you man & just keep your head up because WHEN we make it through this jouney, we'll be able to make it thru anything MDragon - Thanks.. i will try my best! Sarin only came in for a quick sec 2 days ago & I felt like a hungover zombie, so i didnt ask him. He should be comin later to check on me so I will ask. I'm very curious myself because my goal is also 7.5 like Dryani. We didnt discuss distraction either. The feeling I have w/ this is that because each of us have different flexbility & range of motion levels.. it varies from person to person. I personally don't think its very safe to exceed 1mm/day at any time but coolguydoc had no issue doing it & no pain.. I think the smart way is 1mm/day to like 2.5 or 3cm's, then .75 to about 5 cm's, then .5 to like 6 or 6.5, and then .25mm/day for that last cm. Call me conservative, but its because I am Balzakin - Hardcore Kamikaze LL's is the best way of putting it!!

This guy is dedicated to meet his deadline for a very good reason and chose all the pain that comes along with going 1.25 mm a day all the way through. Everyone's legs are different. He is a smart guy and knows how he will handle his recovery back home.

@ST..also the distraction rate that you mentioned in your post seems quite perfect!.that distraction rate would help with your recovery process very well and would definitely prevent over stretching of your tendons and ligaments.no point in lengthening at extreme rates and later regreting when your recovery process becomes snail paced. remember : ''slow and steady wins the LL race!''.

MDragon - ahhh cra* I must of not got the memo! See this whole time I thought that washing ever inch below our waist was critical to 'LIFTING' our spirits And your right about that, slow & steady does win the LL race but some of these warriors are like ballerinas & they can go faster than average.. upside = faster lengthening phase, downside = longer recovery phase but since every person's different & we each have our own set of circumstances, it'll never be a set lengthening schedule across the board. I'm very fortunate that I work in the family business so I do have the time needed to go the 'slow & steady' route.. CoolguySam - Thanks a bunch.. yeah that'll help a lot. My whole life i either slept on my stomach or on my side (the only time i can sleep on my back is when there's a warm body lying on top of me lol) Soapey - I doubt it, but I know i lost a shitload of blood in my left leg.. so they've been pumpin me w/ IV's & antibiotics to prevent infection (hope that helps some) Update on my situation - I had a great convo w/ Dryani where we basically passed alot of info & support back and forth so I'm feelin much better now & so does he and not to jinx myself but the pain has finally subsided! Regarding me NOT having the ankle lock, Dr Sarin came in this morning & told me he didn't think it would be necessary for me right now but we can always attach it later on (if needed). He also told me that I have VERY strong bones & my bones were so narrow so it was a royal bitc* trying to squeeze the nail in there.. He gave me the impression that this would help in the consolidation & recovery phase, but if any vets can key in on this, it would be great? Pain meds - they gave me a Perfalgan (mild painkiller) last night that knocked the pain out but by the time i got sleepy, it wore off (my fuckin luck) & the nurse forgot to inject me again before bed (hence the PAINFULLY INTERRUPTED sleep) & even though I have pain today, I opted not to have any pain killers so far & hoping I can last the whole day without (fingers crossed). Lastly, I cant wait to get the guest house so I can chill w/ the warriors & post the pics i took of me, the hotel, the hospital, my room, 1 of the cute maids who rubbed my feet & yes @ARCHE.. the frames lol! I swear if I gotta dollar for everytime you posted about pictures or frames, I'd be able to afford 3 more surgeries lol! The next post you send me better be 'I booked my flight to India dude!' Thanks to everyone for supporting us & keying in w/helpful tips/advice..

How are you feeling overall btw? I've been having LOTS of trouble due to excruciating pain in my left leg & also I'm a side sleeper (which really sucks for me)
I'm pretty sh*tty overall haha, pretty adjusted to being a cripple now with random pains lol. Just wish I could sleep, I don't care about pain. I have not slept at all ( 0 hours) in seven days. Even with working out every other day, standing everyday to make make myself tired I just have hardcore insomnia. Talked to the doctor today and he prescribed me some pills. So we will see if they work. P.s.- Sam...you know that thing involving 3 alprax tablets+vodka I said I would do and you advised me not to do...well I did it...and nothing!! Get me some f*cking elephant tranquilizer! Lmao

ELEPHANT TRANQUILIZER?!! Man, you are a beast! But on a serious note.. I really feel your pain.. my sleep situation hasn't gotten to that level 'yet' but if you recall, I posted on here I went over 30 hrs w/o sleep post op & the demoralizing part of that is the ridiculous amount of painkillers I was on Dryani has a sleep hypnosis audio file he sent me which I can pass on to you.. Check your PM & also, this might sound strange but what i'm thinking is we should try our best NOT TO SLEEP.. in other words, manipulate your mind to keep telling yourself 'Fuckk sleep, sleep sucks'.. who the hell would wanna sleep anyway??!!' etc etc & maybe the reverse psychology can help us? Other than that.. I'm starting to tap out on sleep solutions myself
