Happy birthday. Now I'm just going to rip into it. I know that I am not a patient yet but I just want to say a couple of things and it's going to be unpopular because I know you all like dr sarin. Having your ac break down, having unreliable helpers, even having power outages throughout the day I could put up with. But not having your doctor available when you are in serious pain takes things to a whole new level. This is extremely serious and raises some alarm bells.
Thank you for your comments and your concern. I would like to point out that it is not typical to have to wait to get help when you are in pain. I have had several periods of pain over the last few months and have been satisfied with Sarin's response time, as have the guys I live with in the main guest house (I can not speak for the hotel guests at this point, however). I believe it is true that he is spread too thin right now; having patients in multiple locations and legal issues to deal with are pushing him pretty hard. Because of this, I feel that it is perfectly reasonable for new patients to wait until the new guest house is established before coming to India for surgery. I'm sure dr sarin is very personable and well intentioned. But it seems he has spread himself too thin. I think it is too much for one man to take care of all your needs. The fact that he couldnt see a patient because it was a sunday is pretty ****. And he is going to have a day off sooner or later. Having one doctor look after so many patients is also very high risk. What if dr sarin himself gets injured or worse? He has a whole farm of LL that have been abandoned. Now I'm sure this won't happen and you will all reach your goals. But you all need more medical attention than you have been getting. I have been totally shocked and appauled at some of what I have read recently.
Sarin has a lot of contacts that he can use to take care of us if something happens to him, such as the team of doctors he works with and performs surgeries with (including the head orthopedic surgeon of the Action hospital). Additionally, Sarin has people who can bring us meds and other treatment if necessary. Now I know that some of you are going to staunchly defend dr sarin (in sarin we trust and all that). That's fine. Let's face it, he is providing a deep need to be taller and you want to trust your doctor. To entertain the alternative is unthinkable and leaves you vulnerable. There are issues here I think that need to be confronted and they run deeper than finding alternative accommodation.
I do follow your reasoning here, but I can say that I personally am not blinded by wishful thinking. If I thought that Sarin was neglecting us or in over his head, I would say so. As I said above, I do think that he is stretched thin right now due to the legal and situational problems, but it has not affected the medical care I am receiving. Another thing I would like to point out to everybody is that post-surgery care is not nearly as "doctor-intensive" as we previously thought. It is quite easy to go for weeks without even needing the doctor's help; I recently went nearly one month without needing anything from him. To All - I would like to ask everybody who wishes to reply to balzakin to please keep the conversation civil and non-confrontational.

balzakin: Interesting points you brought up there my friend. But let's consider the alternatives:
"Sarin couldn't see a patient when he was in pain": well if you were doing this surgery with some of the other doctors such as Dr paley, Dr Betz, Dr Salameh etc.. most of those places require you to go to the hospital when you are in pain not have the doctor come to you at moments notice.
Most of us took the risk with Dr Sarin and we believe in him not because, "he is providing a deep need to be taller and you want to trust your doctor." "and leaves [us] vulnerable," but because of the cost. It is only $10,000 to do this surgery here compared to the next alternative, communist China, which cost more than $34,000. Most of us take money into account when we decide were we go to do LL.. I agree that ST should've gotten care he needed and Sarin's team needs to work on organizing everything properly but I don't think anyone here regrets doing LL with Sarin. And may I point out that reason why Sarin chose the location of the current guest house is so that his patients can live close to him since he lives in the same community complex. But recently, some of the patients are stuck at the hotel due to the security guards denying them access to this house. It is unfortunate that this has happened but it is only temporary.
"There are issues here I think that need to be confronted and they run deeper than finding alternative accommodation".. Most of those issues, in fact, will be resolved with alternative accommodation. And as I am saying this Dr Sarin just visited us and updated that we are moving to the new guest house on Monday.

First off let me say happy bday my friend. I find the honesty and objectivity in your diary so refreshing and much needed here. The only honest india diary here. Balzakin, I agree with you 100% . It has been amazing to see the progression on this board from the old mmt days where serious concerns would have been raised long ago versus now where desperation seems to trump all else. We truly need a new low cost alternative but wow if I took my dog to the vet and it came out with those type of scars I would be fuming. Its 2012 and I have never seen LL scars like those anywhere. And this is just me but I think it speaks volumes about the level of care post op that only ST is honest enough to speak on. Dyani and Crazy this is not for you, this is only my opinion and commentary in ST's diary and experiences. I suppose I expect a certain standard of care having 2 broken legs in a foreign land. If you feel differently i'm happy for you, move on. I have seen people demand more of their mechanics. STANDARD OF CARE, what is it? I have read enough diaries here to come to only one conclusion, LL requires no warrior mentality, for god sakes quit it, there are little kids out there with these frames. The only people that require this are those who are not following the standards set on this board so long ago, or are in situations that do not promote those. What it does require is good after care, this is why all those who op to lengthen at home have so much better outlooks and experiences. good food, physical therapy, pain management, ac, heat, clean bathroom situation, general comfort. . . this **** is priceless when it comes to LL. Note not one mention of a doctor here. Until these things are part of the extra $1000 a month living expense (even having to pay a bit more) no one should be surprised at the level of suffering or extreme discomfort. It took this long to finally get a pic of the scars (*gasp*) and I am still stunned. I am pissed off for you guys, minus the usual suspects. For those that are contemplating this please do not let anyone convince you it doesn't matter due to scar removal afterwards, girls dig it, it looks manly, adds character etc. . One body forever, treat it better than you treat your car or xbox 360. No surprise we haven't seen the femur pics In the end this is just one fool's rant. . . now back to pom pom waving and cheer leading.

You have no idea wtf you're talking about. LL is not for pussies, if you're willing to have you're legs broken and lengthened you can take some minor inconveniences that come with not being in America. You sound like a little bitc* that wouldn't last a month in these frames.

As far as the scars go, it does seem that Dr Sarin does not attempt to minimize his patients scars in any way. Those are just really big and awful looking scars, and in a very noticeable place! I realize that these are from the insertion of the nail, but, if you look at Tall's scars with Dr M you can barely see them and he is still in the lengthening phase. Dr M seems to realize that scars are something that most patients want to minimize as much as possible, however Dr Sarin, competent and caring surgeon as he is, does not seem to either realize this aspect of "cosmetic" limb lengthening, or frankly just does not possess the skill to minimize scarring. This is just my opinion on the matter and I do realize there is a huge difference in cost between the two docs, but I think I would be really unhappy if my doctor did not do a better job than that in minimizing my scars, regardless of the cost of the procedure!

I find the honesty and objectivity in your diary so refreshing and much needed here. The only honest india diary here.
I have been extremely honest in my diary and have relayed my experiences along with a mental/emotional baseline. Where and when have I been dishonest? We truly need a new low cost alternative but wow if I took my dog to the vet and it came out with those type of scars I would be fuming. Its 2012 and I have never seen LL scars like those anywhere. And this is just me but I think it speaks volumes about the level of care post op that only ST is honest enough to speak on. Dyani and Crazy this is not for you, this is only my opinion and commentary in ST's diary and experiences.
What scars are you talking about? Also, this IS for myself and Crazy+6, as you are calling our written experiences dishonest. I am not offended by this in the least, but it is false information that will confuse future readers. I have read enough diaries here to come to only one conclusion, LL requires no warrior mentality, for god sakes quit it, there are little kids out there with these frames. The only people that require this are those who are not following the standards set on this board so long ago, or are in situations that do not promote those.
This IS a very difficult experience, and it DOES require a strong mentality. Kaizen, Sam, myself, and another patient that is not yet on this forum are all in my room right now drinking and puzzling as to where you are coming from. We are in the middle of lengthening with frames around our legs, during a difficult guest house situation, and STILL not one of us can understand where you are coming from. That says something to me. It took this long to finally get a pic of the scars (*gasp*) and I am still stunned.
Again, WHAT scars are you referring to? The scars I have developed from this procedure have been average, but certainly not negligent. This is something I talked about in length with "Cooldoc", whom had vast medical knowledge. It is also worth mentioning that the scar width and texture here is very comparable to the scar on the back of my head from an American doctor. As an LL patient, and knowing much more now about this procedure than I did before, I can firmly say that to choose a doctor based on scaring is insane, especially since the worst scars are caused by pins, and little can be done about them. In the end this is just one fool's rant. . . now back to pom pom waving and cheer leading.
It is not good to attempt to devalue the moral support that is being given on this forum. We appreciate the support from people here very much.

Now that has to be the stupidest comment I have seen on this forum so far..... No "Warrior Attitude"....... when kids have these frames, they are small, have no weight to speak of, they are growing at an alarming rate anyway so their muscles and tendons and bones are very elastic.... A full grown person, is trying to stretch out their legs 2-3 inches at a time when their bodies have said enough and have settled in to their current length...... at this point, the muscles and tendons become more taught to produce strength and are far more difficult to stretch.

Hi Blazkin, Thanks for ruining and ripping in my brothers birthday by giving your opinion about Dr. Sarin not coming on sunday as he might be busy with his family. Don't you think you were too fast in giving your opinion about it??? Matter of fact about you is that you are going to China on 13th September. Am I right No problem- Your choice- Your decision- Your money- your everything BUT Can you please give me answer on the post of Princess & Claudie who pointed out some important issues on China including her doctor not visiting for 9 freaking days. Hi,Deven,i know that you mean.... but i am just that kind of person if i dont like somrthing i will tell it.... i think i have right to tell them because i want to be comfortoble while i am i am staing here for example i asked for better room because that room that they gave in the bigining was to depressing and dirty espacialy bathroom. I say about food because the food id testless and a lot of patients cant eat it.... then i had problem with my maid, she is very nice and kind women but she didnt like her job for example i was about one week after surgery and i told her that i want to take shower she took me to bathroom put me on tow chaires and the closed the door and left...... i was shoked i didnt know that to do i couldnt reach soap it was too high i couldnt use only one habd to wash myself and another hand i had to hold the water,i called her and asked her to help me just hold the water so i can use both my hand to wash myself she didnt help me .... i was so upset and there was many things when she wouldnt help me just seat next to me and watch me...... i would never ever hier this kind of main and wouldnt pay her a panny for her care.... she put me throu so much pain.... oh.... i thought it is so good in china i will have made to help me to take care of me ... but it is such a BS, and on therte webside they promise 10% of MMT members which is not true they dont do give any discount i dont know if they ever did but they dont do it so dont hope to get any discouty.
but even thou i complain and tell them all i think like i said befor they do listen you and try to make your stay comfortable ,you should just dont be afraid ti talk to them..... As for Ronne, she is still nice to me and try to help me and told me that if i have any problem that i can call her anytime even very late.I didnt feel that she misstreated me.i actually got all i asske for i have this nice clean room, and also she gave me this new made which is very nice to me she alwaise smiles and so gentle with me so carring ,but if i want to get foot massage or back massage i have to ask her which she does with big smile but even she work here for 3 years she dont really know how to give a good massage or maybe she trying to be vry gentle with me.
today alreasy 17 days after my surgery.... and i cant walk yet.... it is because of my doctore he came to visit me after 9 deys after surgery to show me how to do turns and after that he didnt come for a week.my roommate Judy had a different doctore who visited her regularly and told her start standing on cranchis after one week post op for a few minute...........m y doctore suposed to do the same thing but he just forgot about me an other patient who has the same doctore as me told me that this doctor didnt visited him for a month..... i want to talk to Ronne and ask her to give another doctore who will find time to visit me and check on my progress ..... even Ronne has nothing to do with doctore i hope she can help me..... and this last two week i had very bad pain on my right knee.... i dont know why but it is so painful i cry sometimes becouse of it other patients told me they had the same problem pain in the right knee but in 3 week pain goes away.... but there is on patient whoes pain in right knee still there and hurt him ...... i am just afraid to be like him .... he almost dont get up from his bed..... i do my dtanding every day 3 times a day for 3 or 4 min. when i stand i feel good and know pain at all,but when i seat that's when pain comes.......
I mean to say "the same movement" not moment. I have made two pairs of leg warmers so I can turn on the air condition at night. They are also used to protect the pin sites when I wash face and shower. I don't clean the wounds often, keep them dry as long as possible, the scars will be smaller. All the foriegn patients have the same doctor in charge, who isn't very reponsitive. So it is better to ask Ronnie first, and she will talk to Dr Peng or the old Dr Han (there are 3 Dr Hans here).
I have piece of advice for you as friend. Please reconsider China also now because Doctor in China also don't visit. Also, If you are deciding only based on doctor and you are in impression that Dr. Xia would do your surgery than please read all China diaries. I am not putting allegation on you but you my friend actually tried to troll over India diary in your other posts also. Your most of the posts are in China diaries and very rarely you post in India diaries. That clearly indicates that you are trying to find opportunities to do that. I have no idea why what about intramedullary infections?
Hi Dryani, I spent most of today reading your journal, very interesting read. You mentioned before that Dr Sarin had taken away pain medication for LL patients at the guest house. What was the reason for this? Do you have access to appropriate pain medication now?
All the best with your journey and recovery.
Now I know that you would feel like I specially targeted you but my friend my job is to find and give honest reply for all other members in MMT. If I find something wrong with Dr. Sarin- I would be the 1st guy to report it here in MMT. Also, let me clear to everyone here that Dr. Sarin visits to guest house even at 11 pm in night if someone calls him for emergency. This has actually happened with one of our very cool LL warrior "cooldoc". Anyone here who wants to deny this Also, There were many occasions and yeah MANY when he came and visit everybody on Sunday. I hope members would understand that giving opinion is good but please give opinion based on facts after knowing everything and not in hurry or you would mislead a lot of future LL patients. Hope this will end discussion about Dr. Sarin's not visiting patients on Sunday. Cheers Crazy+6

Kaizen : as far as my experience . . . . mmt left (damn I miss that dude) but if you can give me a link to the diary of your new leader and LL doc vetter or tell me the details of his LL surgery, experience or expertise then. . . . See, now you are going to get me banned. In any case stop scaring people, pussies are people too. But seriously, if you and dryani can tell me that no one has ever done LL without popping a tramadol/other then I will concede your argument. People have done this surgery smiling the whole time, some even in the comfort of their own homes with doctor approval. Stop the fear mongering. here is the LL formula (courage + dollars + time + willingness to endure discomfort) - mental illness^2 = 7 cm avoidable suffering should not be part of the course especially if it is due to promises not kept, bad therapists, forgetfulness, lack of attention. deaddog : bingo. . . glad someone else had the courage to say it. I respect your honesty because I guarantee lots of other people are thinking it but not willing to rock the boat, god forbid sarin closes shop or maybe just maybe improve standards and get things on the right path. dryani I knew this would be your reaction this is why I asked you to move on. I love you bro but a bit disappointed. WHAT PICS, WHAT SCARS? ? HUH? I don't have the kind of time you guys have but see pg 6 of this diary, there is the standard for pics going all the way back to the first diary here. If the pic isn't big and clear why bother, from the outside looking in your pics. . . well i'm just calling a duck a duck. The cameras at the dollar store can take better pics. And if you think those scars are normal you need to really go check out some of the non-india diaries. Your own diary told me LL is not that bad dryani, here are the objective facts: 38 reports on pain. 24% at level 0 51% at level 1 13% at level 2 none of the above halting sleep. majority of time seems like a cake walk to me. I've had worse headaches than what you report here. So why do I need a warrior mentality again?. . . oh to deal with the avoidable such bad therapists, repairmen and caretakers. Like I said before to each his own if you want to prove that you are tough and want to rough it with two broken legs more power to you. I was just indicating that it is not my cup of tea and in reality is unacceptable and necessary. Demand more from your doctor than your mechanic even if it means paying more money. or wait until there is a proven track record of appropriate care. Again one body, one mind don't allow yourself to suffer or be surgically manhandled. All here have suffered enough being short. Let your money speak for you and demand better care and outcomes. Its a guarantee to new folks reading this, if you want to experience suffering try india in the dead of summer with ac outages, lack of meds, bad therapists, shitty bathroom and pee bottle situation and crazy+6 (don't get me started) promising to talk to the docs who in turn promise this and that all the while waiting for a decent meal. I suggest you bring something to keep those promises in, maybe you can get some sort of discount at the end. No offense dryani but after waiting all these months to get a good close up view of the work being done by the docs there (ala pics) I feel I wasted my time even considering India at this stage of the game. Love myself too much to let docs cut me up like that. God only knows what the bone cuts look like. Looks like they went in there with a sledge hammer and chisel. Desperation is a dangerous thing. I will be your biggest cheer leader / supporter, write on anything you want, but without the only objective element, clear pics, its just a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing. I still love you dude I just love ST more. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . saved my ass a trip over there. 6ftby2014 I missed you dude, thought you were on vacation. caveat: all said here is for benefit on new LL seekers. I'm just a fool with a little time today. Take the objective portions of this post and do you due diligence, but never before getting a clear look via pics or personal visit of what you are in for. LL is for the most part mildly painful but hugely uncomfortable if the standards aren't clearly spelled out. BTW no response necessary

Only honest India diary Are you in your sense when you wrote this You think I fucked myself for one and half year to listen to your trolling bullshit I have 2 diaries here and I have been the most honest to write everything which has happened to me. You talking about old MMT days. By the way, from how long you know MMT website??? 10th June 2012???
You are certainly talking about crazy+6 and Dryani and saying us dishonest. What Scars you are talking about. Did you ever seen my scars and even if you are talking about my scars which are bigger- You are a fool and not read my diary that I was wearing Illizarov frames for 10 months and was walking like f**king elephant which has given me scars in my Tibia. so have some common sense about it and stop giving fool's rant.
Wow, This shows how many diaries you have read and how much you know about LL so far with your ONLY 5 posts. Wear these frames and then comment if you need warrior mentality or kids mentality. "Please stop trolling"

I UNDERSTAND THERE'S BEEN ALOT OF BRASH OR EMOTIONAL TYPE COMMENTS... YOU KNOW WHAT?? ITS OK! LETS FACE IT, LL IS A PRETTY f**king EMOTIONAL PROCEDURE.. BUT.... WHEN THOSE EMOTIONS START KICKING IN AND YOU FEEL YOU MIGHT SAY SOMETHING TOO BRASH, TOO NEGATIVE OR EVEN TOO IGNORANT... YOU SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE SOME CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS & WHAT THEY'RE GOING THROUGH "BEFORE" YOU HIT THE POST BUTTON THINK TO YOURSELF.. 'HMMM HAVE I REALLY GATHERED ALL THE FACTS ABOUT THIS SITUATION BEFORE I MAKE THIS BRASH COMMENT?? OR... 'WOW, YOU KNOW STSACRIFICE, DRYANI, CRAZY+6, SAM AND COMPANY ARE REALLY GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY BY KEEPING SUCH DETAILED DIARIES TO HELP ME & OTHERS IN THE FUTURE.... WOULD IT BE WISE TO INSULT ANY OF THEM? shi* IS IT WISE TO INSULT ANY LL PATIENT UNDERGOING THIS VERY 'WARRIOR-LIKE' PROCEDURE WHEN THEY ARE THE ONE'S ON THIS SITE THAT CAN GIVE ME A REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE OF WHAT THIS JOURNEY ENTAILS?? I'M TRYING TO DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO HELP THE NEXT GENERATION OF LL PATIENTS BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE THINGS I SAY W/ A GRAIN OF SALT! THE WORLD WE LIVE IN IS NOT BLACK/WHITE.. SO OF COURSE FOR THE PRICE WE'RE PAYING HERE.. WE'RE NOT GONNA BE PLACED IN A 5 STAR RESORT W/ AN OCEANFRONT VIEW & HALF-NAKED HOTTIES FEEDING US COCKTAILS/ORDERVES. USE YOUR BEST JUDGEMENT. WE CAME HERE BECAUSE SARIN IS A VERY INTELLIGENT & CARING DOCTOR & YES... IN SARIN WE TRUST ALRIGHT.. IF WE DIDNT, WE WOULDNT FREAKING BE HERE NOW WOULD WE??? ALSO.. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED.. THE POST OP CARE HAS BEEN EXCELLENT! FOR THOSE WHO THINK WE LIVE IN A PERFECT WORLD & THAT EVERYTHING SHOULD BE PEACHY ALL THE TIME... GET THAT FANTASY OUT OF YOUR HEAD! THIS IS REAL LIFE.. NOT A MOVIE, NOT A VIDEO GAME. WE"RE PAYING SOMEONE TO BREAK OUR LEGS & GIVE US HEIGHT. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SACRIFICES ALONG THE WAY & WE WELCOME & ACCEPT THAT. WHEN I POST ABOUT NEGATIVE THINGS I'M EXPERIENCING... I'M NOT SITTING HERE THINKING 'OH GOD... WHY DID I CHOOSE INDIA? IF ONLY I WOULDA SPENT $40,000 MORE & HAD THIS DONE IN A MORE DEVELOPED COUNTRY, EVERYTHING WOULD JUST BE PERFECT!' LMAO... NO, I JUST SAY TO MYSELF 'YOU KNOW WHAT? IM NOT HAPPY ABOUT 'THIS' SITUATION BUT ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD & I'M SURE IT WILL GET RESOLVED' AND GUESS WHAT.. ALMOST ALL THE THINGS I WAS UNPLEASED ABOUT SO FAR HAVE BEEN FIXED OR WILL BE RESOLVED SOON. LASTLY.. I APOLOGIZE FOR WRITING IN ALL CAPS BUT AS YOU CAN SEE.. I'M A BIT UPSET BY THE NEGATIVE & RASH COMMENTS ON HERE. WE'RE IN A cra* LOAD OF PAIN & WE'RE ALL GOING THROUGH ALOT OUT HERE.. WE JUST NEED YOU GUYS TO BE CONSIDERATE OF WHAT WE'RE GOING THROUGH & TO PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE POSTING VERY NEGATIVE OR HURTFUL COMMENTS & TRULY.... TRULY....PUT YOURSELVES IN OUR SHOES & YOU'LL REALIZE WHY I'M SUGGESTING THIS. OKAY... BACK TO a regular font size Crazy +6 - I love you bro! A big THANK YOU for arranging the bday cake for me at the hotel! Sunny told me you set up all the arrangements & that means alot to me I was a bit down at the fact that I wouldn't be able to see you guys... but the cake was delicious & I enjoyed a few vodka oj's w/ the hotel crew! CoolguySam - Your post put a BIG smile on my face! But then.. I gOt my x-rays today & it showed my actual lengthened amount is 8.4mm lol.. So I obviously lost a good bit there... but both legs were equal & I'm not going over 1mm/day cause i still believe that slow & steady wins the race at the end. Dryani - Same here bud.. NoBigDeal.... yeah I have been away on personal business for the last month or so.... been checking in sporadically. Seems as if the India diaries are getting a little heated..... It's funny because these started out as the feel good diaries of the year ( and Talls' as well, can't leave him out... )

Sorry for being down on your birthday man. It just makes me mad when you guys don't get the care you should. It's not about having down days, it's about Patient care and responsibilities. All the best mate.

This entire trolling actually force me to think that Crazy+6, Dryani, Coolguysam, Hilltop, Kaizen, cooldoc have written all false diary about India and wasted their time here and nobigdeal2 who never done LL ever and don't need any warrior mentality is the new leader of forum(I am sorry SYSOP- he don't think you are a leader after MMT) with great experience about scars, frames and other complications.
Also, he compared his headache with cosmetic LL which shows how knowledgeable leader he can become for forum.
Bravo, Keep trolling !!
you would definitely become new leader of forum and yeah please don't forget to write a diary when you do your LL in the place where you can find best LL pictures of the world.
To All, This entire discussion actually made me feel bad & sad. And yeah, I anyway stopped writing much now a days because of trolls like these guys. Probably would stop coming to MMT completely and live my life with respect and new height instead of getting insulted by these trolls who don't even know meaning of cosmetic LL. No doubt !!! Probably this is the reason why all my old MMT friends stopped coming and writing here after their surgery.
God Bless Crazy+6

Nobigdeal2, you are an absolute jackass. Yes, children wear Illizirov fixitors for corrections, but 95% of the time it is only on one leg. The vast majority of the time it is not for bilateral lengthening. Additionally, those children do limb lengthening because their parents have decided that it is the best choice for those children. The children do not research it, decide on it, and pay for it themselves. We are warriors for choosing something so difficult, painful and expensive. LL is painful, it is uncomfortable, and it is emotionally and physically draining. Furthermore, most of us go through it without support from our families.
What scars are you talking about? I can only imagine that you are referring to the recent incisions on ST. Those are not scars, they are surgical incisions. Scars are what are left with years after a surgery. To call a recent incision that is still being held together with staples a "scar" really makes you look foolish. It's not semantics either. New cuts pretty much always look bad, no matter what doctor does them.
If you can pay $100,000 for LL and go to the most expensive LL doctor on the planet, then by all means go for it. Most people can't afford that and so we have to make the best, most affordable choice we can. Does that mean we do not stay in the lap of luxury with scantily clad maidens fanning us with palm leaves the whole time we do LL? Unfortunately, yes. But do we get taller, and we survive with as little scarring as possible. There is no perfect choice for LL, only the best choice we can each afford.
