It has made me more likely to have it.
It has made me less likely to have it.
It has made no difference to me whatsoever.

This forum is very, very informative.   I am so inspired and I have learned a lot, especially from Apotheosis' diaries.   Great pictures.   Definitely inspiring!

I want to get the surgery done after reading these diaries.  I want to stay in the US and get it done with Dr.  Paley using that new precise technique.  Is any other surgeon have something close to that? That costs to have it done here in the US is astronomical.

It's clearly been some what of a relief to me. I have the possibility of getting together virtually with people suffering from the same problem as me. Together we prepare eachother for the currently only possible solution to height increasement. It's a fantastic forum!

This forum has made me want to get LL WAY more.

In fact, if it wasn't for this forum, I might not even want to do LL in the first place.

I really would like to thank MMT for starting this site and SysOp for doing a great job as his replacement.  Smiley

When I first heard of LL the information I found about the procedure sounded draconian. Journalists made LL sound more like a medieval torture method than something to help people increase their height. I remember a 5 ft 11 co-worker told me he wanted to have LL and I chided him due to my own ignorance. I said to him "You're going to have some doctor chop your legs?"

That all changed when I found this site. I discovered that there are different methods to LL (internal, LON, external, precise etc), safe lengthening goals as well as tips to mitigate complications. More importantly there is a list of recommended doctors so I no longer feel like LL is performed in some squalid, dark, and nasty hospital like in that movie hostel.

To that end, this site has made it more likely for me to get LL surgery. In fact, I now know I'll get it done.

Your friend was 5'11 and wanted to get LL, 5'11 is a great height!

I really have no problem with people who are average wanting to become taller, but I mean, short people really do get discriminated against, for average height people they don't get discriminated against at all.

5'11 is even a little above average but I would say 6'0 and over is where you actually start to be considered "tall".

@Redemption- I agree with you. At first I thought he mentioned LL to poke fun at me but even at 5 ft 11 he had short man's complex. Perhaps because both his father and younger brother were over six feet. In fact, former president George Bush who stood 5 foot 11 said that he was short because his brother Jeb was 6 ft 3. To each his/her own! LOL

You are right and their sarcasm is just implicit bigotry. You've never seen or heard of a journalist being sarcastic when covering weight reduction surgery. However, people seem to think that there is something funny about short people wanting to increase their height. I saw a quote yesterday "You gotta hand it to short people...I mean they cannot reach things by themselves."

It's weird how many times I searched about limb lengthening and never came across MMT.  I actually found the site via ABC News [hxxp: abcnews. go. com/Health/york-man-grows-inches-surgery/story?id=15776730] — yep, the one in which Apotheosis was featured.

Post checking out the diaries on this site, my confidence in cosmetic leg lengthening, has increased dramatically.  This forum has made me more likely to have leg lengthening.  And thanks for the "recommended doctors" list.  Very much appreciated.  (I guess I will be going with Dr.  Sarin. )

This forum is definitely one of the most useful source of information LLers can get. Haha I was freaked out a few days ago when the link makemetaller.org somehow didn't work Tongue

It happens occasionally. It is the best forum for learning and sharing knowledge about LL.

This forum has made me more likely to have LL. Nothing, not even gruesome images of LL, or some worthless advice given by people whose minds are contaminated with slave morality, will change my decision of getting LL.

Apologies. To everyone who read the underlined words above, I was referring to people who give bullsh*t advice like "Accept yourself for who you are blablablabla...", "Appreciate what you have been given blablablabla..." and same old sh*t.

The reviews of the doctors and being able to read about people's experiences makes me want this more.   Due to the pain of the procedure and huge amounts of money this procedure requires I have great respect for those that undergo this.   Not only makes you taller, but must make you a lot tougher too.
