dyrani what is the name of the shoes and where can i buy some? online? thank you. currently i just add 1.5 inches of lift to my shoes in question. after i lengthen my femour i need to start wearing 3 inch lifts, so that the veiw piont of everyone who sees me will think i only increased on height only 1nce, then after i lengthen my second time for tibia for 3 inches, i will then throw my 3 inch lifts out. so i will go from 5"7 - 6" in 1 trip and after the second trip i will just substitute the 3inches of lift for 3 inches of tibia ,explaining why i grew 2 times might make things complicated to people

Hi GrowTaller, I bought my shoes from http://www.tallmenshoes.com/cwalking.html for $60. However, I believe that Tallmenshoes is a re-seller, so you should be able to find those same shoes on other sites as well. I do recommend tallmenshoes though, they were prompt in shipping and I had no problems the 3 times I did business with them. I really think that it is better to buy shoes that were built to increase your height instead of putting lifts inside your shoes. The reason for this is that when you put lifts in your shoes, you take away a lot of your heel support. Shoes that are designed to boost your height will still have plenty of heel support and are much more comfortable in my opinion. Also, there is no obvious insert inside them when you take them off - the shoe itself doesn't look like it would add any height. You wouldn't know until you tried it on.

I've also used Tallmenshoes and they are a reputable company. Just be sure to not go overboard and get those 5 inch increasing boats. I learned that the hard way.

I've been wearing lifts since 2002. Hate every second of it. Hate the damage it does to my shoes. Hate that it limits which shoes I can wear. Hate the way I walk in them(The more inches you go the more you walk like a disabled person. Hate the pain in my feet. Hate the fear of being found out. Hate having to replace them.

Most, if not all, of these problems can be solved by simply buying special shoes instead of normal shoes with lifts. They're really not any more expensive, and I've become completely accustomed to walking with a 3 inch lift. Nobody will even know the shoes are different unless they try them on - they don't even arouse suspicion if you look inside them.

earl25, Amen to that brother. I cannot wait to burn my elevator shoes. Oh the pain they've caused to my back and feet. It will be a happy day when I no longer need to wear/use them.

I thought special elevator shoes didn't cause as much pain as lifts in regular shoes. I was going to switch.

earl25- It all depends on the shoe and amount of lift inside. I was over zealous when I first started wearing elevator shoes and went for the clogs that claimed to give 5 inches of height. Not only was that claim false but the shoes were these huge boats. I experimented with a few different brands, heights and at one time even went with a lower height show with a lift inside (bad choice). I eventually went to a 2.3 inch elevator shoe and that seemed to work better on my feet.
BTW, I have flat feet so that may be why they hurt in both elevator shoes and lifts.

When I first started wearing lifts (that cursed day in 2002)I went with a 2. 5 lift and had to wear boots pretty much all the time. I also had to buy one size larger to fit the lift. The lift plus the bigger size caused me to walk like a mentally disabled person(my dad kept telling my mom I need physical therapy or something). At the end of the day my feet killed and I would have these sore red spots on my feet. I then decided it's just to much. Now I wear a 1 inch lift. Its not so bad. My walking is better but if I weight to long in getting a new lift my foot veers to the inside.
I might try elevator shoes to see if it makes it better. atleast I can wear my actual size shoe.

Ha Ha I know exactly what you meant about walking like a disabled person. And yes, I also had to wear boots so that I could wear lifts. There is a company that does custom made elevator shoes. I've had a pair made by them and they are absolutely the best! They even do consultations over Skype and if something doesn't fit right, they'll keep trying until they make a pair that does. http://www.donsfootwear.com/

Try Don's footwear at the above link I provided. They can do custom elevator shoes. I've used them and they are top notch.
I've never used elevator sneakers as I'm in a suit most of the time. I use lifts when I'm in casual clothes.

Leave it to Arche to proved us with humor! LOL
Hey, if you're going to wear elevator shoes why not have the best? I've tried all those other places and their products made my feet hurt like a mutha. This other place was professional and nice enough to not charge me when the first pair they made for me didn't fit exactly right.
