These results are really promising for me. It motivated me to contact Dr. Pili. I realized that I could take 1 whole year off, and after learning about the possible knee pains associated with LON, I might settle for traditional external with Pili.

Hey dude!

I'm very glad that you doing fine.

I have just a few questions about your achilles tendon lengthening
Can you please tell me how many days after the surgery you started walking (with crutches I guess) and how your rehabilitation goes?
Also, do you know how much does your doctor lengthened your tendons (in centimetres) ?
And finally, how do you feel your tendons compared to presurgery (in power and general feel) ?

I have too at lengthening and my experience is not so good compared to yours and I am very impressed that you are doing so fine, that's why I have these questions.

Keep strong!

Body Builder

Always a pleasure and an honour having your questions and comments in my diary.

I could walk the day after Achilles Lengthening surgery!
The day before I could not longer walk! I had so much tension in my calfs, my knees were bent and my feet were pointing so much down that I could no longer walk.
The Achilles lengthening gave some air to breath to my legs.

Regarding rehabilitation: I just do the 3 simple exercises Dr Pili told me to do.
I walked with crutches when he told me to do so and started walking without crutches when told so.
My legs fill almost normal now. If I had no frames on I think I could just walk normally....

I do not know how much he lengthened my tendons. I got the foot straight and put the pins on the hill. That 's all I know.
I believe you can ask this questions to him... Send him an email. He is very easy going.

Where have you had your LL?

Keeping strong my friend!

ciao bello, una domanda: puoi dirmi dal momento in cui ti sei svegliato dall'operazione fino ad oggi quanto dolore hai avuto complessivamente da una scala da 1 a 10? grazie

Thanks for the kind words dude.

I don't want to say where I did LL but it is a country very close to yours.

But I haven't understood one thing. How did your doctor lengthened your Achilles tendons? Haven't you done a surgery where you cut your tendon and then you have your feet in a cast for more than 2 weeks?
Because this is what we call achilles tendon lengthening surgery and it is impossible to walk the other day after this surgery.
I'd really like some more information about what you did and also I'd be very grateful if you give me (here or in personal message) the email of dr Pili to ask him a few things.

I'm very happy about your condition, I hope my LL surgery was as smooth as yours.
Keep strong!

I can not tell you details, he explained he would cut along the tendon and stitch it back after stretching it.
I did not have a cast in my legs but pins fixing my hills to the main frame.
You can contact him using his site:

or just send him an email. He is very good and friendly.

I do not know what 10/10 pain means, but some days have been quite bad.
I had some bed days with lots of tension in my legs, during lengthening.
I had quite some pain when one of the wires got infected.
But nothing that would not settle with some pain killers and antibiotics when needed.

An update for you guys!

I had my consultations some time ago and I had great news!
I will remove my frames next month! It would make it just 10 months and some weeks after surgery!
I am so happy I feel euphoric!

Thank for all those who sustained me

Yes, 10 months and 2 weeks for 8 cm.
I feel great and my legs are just as they were before but 8 cm longer.
I can't still believe it! This was the dream of my life and it has come true.
I am 181 cm tall now.
I never spent my money in a better way.

Whoa, I've never seen a result like that before.  Congratulations.  Can you please post another picture of your whole body standing against a wall again like in your first post? So we can see the total progress?

As requested by zenithian, here is my before and after 8 cm with HEF picture!
Please ignore my "not perfect sun tan".
It took me a while to make this picture as I wanted to be sure about it.
