Average height depends on the country.

British and Scandinavian women are taller, others smaller - there is a lot of variation.

I've always wanted to date a 5 7" woman. But at 5 5" that hasn't happened. This time next year, I'll have a long-legged 5 7" natural blonde in my bed . . . Pamela Anderson back in the day.

Hi everybody! I am about 162 cm (5 ft 3 in) and (sorry for the ladies of smaller statures) very unhappy about it.  I live in Germany, where the average height is 167 cm (5 ft 5 1⁄2 in) and is like everyone is taller than me! Lately I got so obsessed with my height that when I go out in the streets I compare my height with everyone else in search of shorter than me to make me feel better!

On the top of that, I was born with thick, bulky calf muscles which really makes it quite unatractive for a woman of my height.  Even in my jeans I feel so unconfortable and high heels makes my calves more bulky :( I also hate when people don't look at me as a woman, but rather as a girl (since my face implies I am a teenager).

Before I seriously consider LL, I always had issues with my big calves.  Like I was searching methods to make them look leaner and guess what, the only way is to do surgery and remove them! That was so devastating for me, since I don't want to remove my healthy muscles, for the sake of beauty.  Then I started considering height increasment.  I came across your website and really gave me a relief, knowing there are people who made and have positive outcomes and change their life afterwards. .  I don't want to join the club of LL dreamers. . .  I just want to be taller!

well so far what I have read mean that had gone through LL don't want taller girls
or do not recommend girls going through LL if they are around 5'5"
why?
my guess is because they just went through hell so they can get taller, if the women
too go through LL, is like they have never gone through LL xD!
If I ever go through LL it will be so clothes look better on me.
I'm 5'2" and clothes are made really for 5'4" and up. . .
I really don't care that the male pool will go down. . .  why?
all the men I generally get to know are 6' and up. . .
any idea how small I feel?
Plus all my female friends are 5'5" and up xD!
That is the cherry on top that I just need it n_n

First off, don't be so sure men you know are 6' and up, you'd be surprised how the mind plays tricks on you when you literally look up to people. After my LL I've realized many of my friends were not as tall as I though and there wasn't such a huge difference between us to begin with.

I believe the reason men here don't recommend girls 5'5" or above to go through LL is because they don't need it. They will never face any prejudice of any kind because of their height, unlike men. It won't make them more attractive, won't give them more opportunities in their carrier, more respect etc. Some here talk about help in modeling career but even that is very far fetched if you consider age. To have the money you need to have savings which are hardly possible before 20, the operation itself takes at least a year to be able to walk ok, but even more to get your balance (and grace) back, and then there are the scars etc.. It's hard to imagine an agency taking their chance with a model in her mid 20's with no previous experience.

Bottom line, the risks involved, time consumed, money wasted, pain suffered, lies involved (or social stigma if she will not hide it) are simply not worth it. If they feel like giving it a go still, than by all means... we're all here for support.

I can only speak for myself but I couldn't care less about women height, if she's taller than me or not. I've dated girls from very tall (6") to very short (less than 5") even before my LL and will gladly continue to do so.

I am a woman and I want to be 3"-4" taller.  I want to be taller not be attractive to the opposite sex, but for my own personal satisfaction.  Even as a kid, I know I wanted to be this certain height.  My torso and arms are long.  Actually everything about me looks tall except for my short stumpy legs.  Definitely LL will make me look well-proportioned.

Great topic, I enjoyed hearing about how women feel about their height.
I am 5 foot 1, and I think it definitely makes me less attractive.  I'm happy with my face and torso up, I'm thin but my legs look stubby and it throws off my appearance.  I find it very hard to believe that guys don't care about a woman's height, especially if they are 6 foot.  In addition small stature results in an inferior complex especially in the work place.  Women get ridiculed for short stature too.
I don't have the cash for LL, however I don't have any expenses other than my car insurance.  I have $45k saved and would need another $30k to have the surgery in France.  My question here to MML and the forum is do you think carrying a 30K debt at 8 percent will significantly hurt me.  I make $80k a year pre tax but I have the potential to make more in my field.  I'm also fairly old, 32 years.

Hi all,

I was always measured 150cm in school since I was 12 years old. When I was 19, I was even measured 1,49 by a doctor. Now I'm 35 years old and had my appointment with Dr. Betz. Since I have a few health issues with my neck and my feet, Dr. Betz sent me to a colleague of him, who is a specialist for inner medicine and chronicle pain treatment, before I'd get the surgery. This guy, called Dr. Zimmermann, is amazing. He applies alternative medicine and treatments and he gave me homeopathic growth hormones, which act on your pituitary gland. This gland acts on all the organs to improve cell growth. He said, though with a smile in his face, maybe you'll grow a centimeter ;-). I take this hormones for 4 weeks now.
But guys, no joke, I keep on measuring myself for a week now and I measure myself 151,5cm every day!!! Since it was always by night when I measured myself, I thought, well this thing with being taller in the morning does not apply to me, I'm as tall in the morning than in the night. WRONG!
I measured myself this morning immediately out of bed and I was 153,5cm !?!?! Though, 2 hours later I was 151,5cm. Which means, you are taller when you get out of bed, but only 2 hours later, you're smaller!? Anybody can confirm that?
Though if I really grew, then not on my legs, because the pants remain on the same level. There's a chance that I grew 1-2cm after I was 19 years old, cause since the experience with that doctor measuring me on 149cm, I never measured myself again, just telling people I'm 150cm (cause 149cm is even more embarrassing:-().
What do you think? I didn't grow anymore since I was 12 and I got my hand palm revised at 14 years and this doctor said that my growth process is over. So I can hardly imagine, that I did not grow from 12-19 years and then I grew afterwards for 2cm. So I have to believe, that these weird homeopathic growth hormones really worked at the age of 35?? I'm confused!
On the other hand it's quite stupid now, cause I sent all the papers to my health insurance, asking if they cover the costs. Betz wrote on the document, that my actual height is 148cm, cause if you're over 150cm the insurance won't cover ANYTHING.
Now I'm scared a bit, if they ask me for an appointment to check on my height and state of mind, how do I explain the discrepancy between their measurement and Betz'?
One more question: If you do a lot of sports and had a stressful day or so, will you be then even shorter by night? Cause if the insurance calls me for a review, I'll just get up at 4am, go running and clean the house before the appointment, so that they measure me 151,5cm in the morning, allowing me to argue, that I'll be under 150 in the night. Any comments on this?

Greets,
T.
